OBJECTIVE
The CITECH Professional Diploma in Marketing & Technology qualification is offered to provide students who wish to acquire essential marketing and e-Commerce skills. At the end of the course, students will have a sound working knowledge of the development and the applications of e-Commerce for any organisations. Graduates will have the competency to conduct e-business activities through the Internet and to identify and serve their company’s target markets effectively. The program will also equip graduates with the professional skills to develop and manage their own Internet site.
Career Opportunities
The graduates will be qualified to join either the business development or administration team in a wide range of business sectors such as industry, banking, public service, financial service industries. Graduates will be starting out their careers in areas such as:

- Marketing Executive
Who Can Apply?
Academic:
- Student must have minimum age of 17 years old with GCE 'O' Level, SPM or equivalent
- Mature applicants of 25 years of age with minimum of 2 years of working experience
- Other qualifications will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis
English Requirements:
If English is not your first language you are also required to provide evidence of your English language skills as listed below.
- Min. English IELTS 5.5 or equivalent
- Other qualifications will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis

MTAN 402 Market Research and Data management

- To provide students with an understanding of the nature and the process of marketing research
- To introduce to students the significance of problem definition in planning and implementing the various steps of marketing research in achieving the research objectives
- To enable students to appreciate the purpose and characteristics of the different types of research design and their appropriateness in different marketing research situations
- To equip students with a sound understanding of the two major types of data and the data collection methods for primary and secondary data
- To introduce to students the major principles of statistics necessary for the development of various types of sampling plans for accurate data collection and analysis
- To provide students with the computer skills to use electronic spreadsheet for data analysis and the ability to interpret research findings
- To explore how technology and the Internet have influenced the conduct of marketing research

- The subject aims in particular to ensure that the knowledge and understanding can be applied in the practical construction of appropriate and realistic marketing plans.
